Privacy policy

This policy tells you which data PricePinner collects, why, and what you can do about it. PricePinner is made by Nordara Studio. Questions: [email protected].

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and display name. We use them to sign you in and to show you on friend leaderboards. If you sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple, that service gives us your email address and name.
• Game data: your guesses, scores, opened hints, preferences and friends. We use them to run the game.
• Location: the app asks for permission to use the location of your phone. It uses the location to show homes near you and to calculate distance points. The location of each guess is saved with the guess. The app also sends your last known location to our server, so that we can tell you about new homes near you. If you do not give permission, the app cannot calculate distance points.
• Notifications: if you allow push notifications, we save a push token for your device. If you turn on email notifications, we send emails about friend requests and invitations.
• Usage data: the app counts screen views and some events with Google Firebase Analytics. We use this to see which parts of the app people use.
• Crash reports: when the app crashes, it sends a technical report to our own crash server.

Who else processes data

• Amazon Web Services (Amazon Cognito) handles sign-in.
• Google handles Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics on this website and push delivery to Android phones.
• Expo and Apple handle push delivery to phones.
• Google, Facebook or Apple, if you use them to sign in.
• The OpenStreetMap Foundation receives your IP address when the app loads map images from the public OpenStreetMap servers. This is the default. You can choose our own map server in Profile, then Preferences, then Map Tiles.

We store game data on our own servers.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not show ads, and we do not share data for advertising.
• We do not show your location to other players.

Cookies

The app uses local storage on your phone to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. This website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and pages. We do not use advertising cookies.

How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your account data and game data. Technical logs and crash reports are deleted automatically after a time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to [email protected]. You can delete your account and data yourself. See data deletion. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Property data

The prices, sizes and locations of homes in the game come from public information about sales. They are for entertainment and learning, and they can contain errors.
