Removing business cards from home photos

Home photos often show an estate agent's business card. Learn how our photo pipeline removes them so that the game feels right.

Many listing photo sets include a photo of the estate agent or a business card. They tell you nothing about the price, and they look strange in a game.

The problem

When you guess a home, you want to see the home. A smiling agent between the kitchen and the bathroom breaks the moment.

The fix

We added a step that finds these images and removes them before the home reaches the game.

Why it matters

  • The game stays about the home and the guess.
  • The agent's image is not used for something it was not meant for.

Small details

Players rarely notice when something is removed. They do notice when something odd is there. Many small fixes like this make a game feel finished.
